Cookies for the troops
Wednesday November 12 2008 Soldiers with the Queen's Own Rifles (QOR) serving in Afghanistan will enjoy a treat soon as Terra Cotta Cookies of Georgetown donated several boxes of cookies to be part of a package of supplies. On hand for the presentation of the cookies, both shortbread and assorted big cookies, were (from left) Capt. Peter Simundson, curator of the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada Museum, Terra Cotta Cookies owners Peter and Pat Coe, Sgt. Jamieson Murray of the QOR who recently returned from Afghanistan, and Clay Downes, QOR Regimental Association Fundraising Chair.
