The talented musicians of Hi & Louw Keys Piano Studio participated in the Milton Music 19th Biennial Festival recently and brought home 35 gold, 19 silver and 15 bronze medals.

This festival was dedicated to the memory of Aaron Gibbons, one of the studio’s most talented students, who passed away on November 21, 2007. His passion for music and devotion to the arts inspired all of these talented young pianists, ranging from pre-beginner to Grade 9, to shine in their outstanding performances.

Special congratulations go to Matthew Driedger, Madeleine Lake and Rachel Sproule, who received scholarships for their remarkable efforts and once more to Madeleine Lake, who was asked to perform her solo at the Grand Festival Concert.

Kudos to all winners who deserve the highest praise! You truly glorify the quote from the famous French poet, Alphonse de Lamartine: “Music is the literature of the heart; it commences where speech ends.”
