Kiwanis Club Harvestfest: dinner and dance at Holy Cross Church Hall. Each year, Kiwanis members raise funds for projects that will benefit kids in our community. This year's Harvestfest profits will go towards supporting GDHS athletics, including playing field improvements and a new outdoor scoreboard. Tickets are $55 per person and include a wine tasting event to start off the evening, a hip of beef buffet dinner including wine, silent auction, live auction and dancing. Christmas House Tour: United Way of Halton Hills presents Christmas at the Manor on the evening of Friday, November 21 and the offering of two daytime tours on Saturday, Nov. 22. As you approach the elegance and grandeur of this approximately 12,000 sq foot manor, enjoy the beautifully illuminated gardens and walkways. Designers and florists from the area will display their artistic talents throughout this magnificent home. The warmth of seven crackling fireplaces and live holiday music performed by local artists will add to the Christmas season. AHS Craft Sale: The 13th Annual Acton High School Craft Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the school on 21 Cedar Rd, Acton. With up to 60 vendors, raffles, BBQ lunch, bake sale and "special guests" from Reptilia, there is sure to be something for everyone. Healing service: Everyone is invited to a Healing Service at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, Acton, 7 p.m. Father Andrew LeRoux, the rector of St. Ninian's Anglican Church will be conducting the service. Father Andy is known in the diocese of Toronto for his healing ministry. Christmas Luncheon: Welcome Home Children's Centre Inc. is holding a fundraiser Christmas luncheon at Mold-Masters SportsPlex, 221 Guelph St. Doors open at 1 p.m., lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $20 for adults, $10 for children aged 5 to 10, and children under 5 are free. Rockwood Christmas Parade: The 16th annual Rockwood Farmers' 16th annual Santa Parade of Lights is a unique Christmas nighttime parade which includes farm equipment being decorated in technicolour lights. Get there early because its reputation has spread, with travelers from across Southern Ontario attending. It begins at 7 p.m. on the Fifth Line (County Road 27 or Main St. in Rockwood) just north of the village limits and proceeds south to the stoplight and then turns west and travels towards Guelph on Highway 7. Finally, the parade will turn north on the Fourth Line of Eramosa as it heads back to the North Pole. The village fills up quickly so arrive early to enjoy a festive meal. Many of the shops are open before and after the parade for Christmas shopping! Georgetown Runners: are a group of local runners who meet at the Atlantis Family Athletics (Guelph St. and Mountainview Rd.) 8 a.m. Sundays. Smaller groups meet at various other times and locations for social or training runs.
